Marta Palau
She was born in Albesa, county of Merida, Spain, but she has gotten the Mexican nationality. She began her formation in 1955, when entered the Escuela de Artes Plásticas La Esmeralda, in Mexico City. Later on she studied at The San Diego State University and at the workshop of Grau Garrica in Barcelona, Spain.

For her work, she has been awarded with the Premio Instalación of the 2da. Bienal de la Habana (1986), with the Bürgerpreis at the 5th. Fellbach Triennial (Germany, 1992), and with the prize Creador Artístico, that confers the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (Mexico City, 1993).
